Covering the south east
Grand Auctions’ main client base is situated in south east Kent. Positioned only 15 miles from Canterbury, the company brings a wealth of expertise to the area. We are passionate about our work and the beautiful objects that we handle - your treasures are our treasures! We also cover Ashford, Broadstairs, Faversham, Folkestone, London, Maidstone, Rochester, Sandwich, Tenterden, Royal Tunbridge Wells, Whitstable and all surrounding areas.
All of the items we sell are photographed and appear on our website which is viewed internationally. Our catalogue can also be viewed via www.the-saleroom.com, a service which also provides live online bidding during the auction itself.
No Sale - No Fee
Grand Auctions specialises in the mid to high end of the market and, unusually, operates a ‘No Sale – No Fee’ policy. If your items fail to reach their agreed reserves then you pay no fees whatsoever. We hold two world records for two major artists - Alan Lowndes and Gerald Wilde.
Grand Auctions staff are all specialists in their fields. Jonathan Riley is a published expert on 20th century British paintings. Simon Rufus, formerly of Christie’s, is a qualified gemmologist, diamond grader and fine watch specialist. Robin Newcombe, formerly of Bonhams, also spent six years on the valuation desk at Christie’s. His specialities are silver, ceramics and Asian Art.
