Henri Jacot Petite Sonnerie Reveil carriage clock

Description:

Henri Jacot Petite Sonnerie Reveil carriage clock. French eight day key wound movement. Brass gorge case with carry handle and repeat button. White enamel dial with blued hour and minute hands, Roman numerals, one minute track and subsidiary alarm dial at 6 o' clock. Twin barrel movement with platform lever escapement striking on a gong every quarter hour and on demand via the repeat button. Movement back plate signed, ' H. Jacot Paris', '1855 & 1862'. As part of this overhaul the mainspring was repaired, the teeth in the strike barrel were repaired, a new arbor was made for the intermediate wheel and the case and parts of the movement were polished.
