Girard Perregaux Gyromatic HF 18 ct yellow gold watch
Girard Perregaux Gyromatic HF 18 ct yellow gold watch. Swiss automatic Chronometer movement. Tonneau case with plexi glass, silver dial with gold hour, minute and seconds hands, gold crown, gold baton markers at five minute increments and an outer one minute track. Brown leather pin buckle strap. Dial signed. Case measures 33 mm, thickness 12 mm. The 'HF' in the model name stands for 'high frequency'. In 1965 Girard-Perregaux designed the first mechanical movement at high frequency, where the balance wheel beats at 36,000 vibrations per hour, or 10 vibrations per second. This results in greater timekeeping accuracy. Currently in working order, however, Grand Auctions does not guarantee the working order or accuracy of any watches sold.
