An old English oak settle
An old English oak settle. Possibly late Elizabethan period with later Georgian period alterations. The arms and back are decorated with Elizabethan late 16th century Gothic molding with three back panels, the centre panel displaying a carved image of a unicorn most likely symbolising Scotland and standing on plain straight legs. 44 in (111.8 cm) width, 35.2 in (89.5 cm) height, 22 in (55.9 cm) depth.
