An interesting Victorian silver diamond shaped jewellery box. The cover decorated to the centre with a Queen Anne Union of England and Scotland silver medal (circa 1707) engraved by John Croker (initials I.C.) with bust facing left and reading ANNA. D: G: MAG: BRI: FR: ET. HIB: REG: the reverse depicting the British arms enclosed within a garter, set on a pedestal flanked by a lion and unicorn and reading MAII. I. MDCCVII., the medal encompassed by a reeded pattern in repousse radiating outwards and being repeated vertically around all four sides, mark of Francis Boone Thomas & Co of 153 New Bond Street, London 1885. 1.5 in (3.7 cm) height, 6.1 in (15.5 cm) diameter.
