Description:
An early 19th century Derby twenty eight piece part dinner service. Decorated in the King's pattern with branches of flowering chrysanthemums and peonies, the borders with lappets and diaper-pattern cartouches, a narrow blue band with gilt zig-zags runs around the edges and the rims are gilt lined. Twenty five pieces bear the red enamel mark of a crown above crossed batons and with a 'D' below (circa 1800-25) together with three pieces which bear a Robert Bloor Period crown and 'D' printed in red (circa 1820-40).
