An Austrian Bavarian silver mounted lederhosen charivari, Bavaria, 19th century. The silver link chain is adorned with silver and white metal mounted hunting amulets including antlers, claws, teeth and notably the jaw and teeth of a pine martin. Traditionally charivari are attached to the front of lederhosen worn by folk situated in Bavaria, Southern Germany and Austria. The silver chain is struck with makers initials EG of Ybbs, Austria (1867 - 1872) with lion's head (.750) marks. 14.2 in (36 cm) approximate length. Weight: 134 grams.
