A pair of late 18th century plates possibly by Caughley (1785-90). The circular dishes painted in the Kakiemon style with blossoming prunus issuing from a tree log and a yellow tiger creeping around bamboo, the border decorated with scattered flower sprays surrounded by a brown rim and a twisted fluted and basket weave moulded border. Unmarked. 9.25 in (23.3 cm) diameter.
