A large pike by William Gibson. Pre 1917. Displayed in a flat glass front and end case and depicted within a naturalistic riverbed amongst the weeds. Inscribed inside on the left reading 'Taken by Mr. William Trimmer. President S.B.A.S. angling club. The ''Cut'' near Hythe' and on the right the taxidermist's stamp reading 'Wm. Gibson Naturalist Richmond Grove Barnsbury London N', Barnsbury now being part of Islington N1. 14.5 in (36.8 cm) high, 36 in (91.4 cm) wide, 6.3 in (16 cm) deep, 30.5 in (77.5 cm) length of fish.
