A large Louis XIV commemorative victory medal, circa 1694. Created to commemorate the victory against the Anglo Dutch invasion of Britanny in 1694. Obverse depicting King Louis XIV's head in profile inscribed 'LUDOVICUS MAGNUS REX CHRISTIANISSIMUS' with the reverse depicting an armed and helmeted Minerva inscribed 'CUSTOS ORAE ARMORICAE' with an exergue inscribed 'ANGL ET BAI CAESIS ET FUGATIS 1694'. 2.7 in (6.9 cm) diameter.
