A George III silver coffee pot, 18th century. Of baluster form with the hinged cover mounted with a finial modelled as a pineapple with serrated leaves, a spout applied with acanthus leaf decoration, a carved wood scroll handle and supported on a circular foot with bands of beaded decoration to both the cover and foot. Mark of John Scofield (bearing the J*S unregistered mark typically attributed to John Scofield / Schofield), London 1777. 15.2 in (38.5 cm) height. Weight: 950 grams.
