A collection of mid 18th century Chinese underglaze blue and white tea bowls and saucers. Consisting of two blue pine tea bowls and saucers, two Batavian bamboo and peony coffee bowls and saucers and two pagoda riverscape tea bowls and saucers (12). Provenance: The Nanking Cargo Sale, Christie's Amsterdam, 28 April - 2 May 1986. Lots 5108, 5347 and 5530. Included are six Spink certificates stating that they are 'part of the Nanking Cargo, recovered by Capt. Michael Hatcher and associates in the South China Seas from the wreck of the Dutch East Indiaman ''Geldersmalsen'', and auctioned by Christie's at Amsterdam from 28th April to 2nd May 1986.'
