A Chinese white and russet jade deer pendant. Possibly Shang dynasty period. The flat plaque carved as a fawn shown in a recumbent position with head turned backwards and decorated on both sides with narrow ridged patterns in relief, the stone of a translucent white jade with minor russet inclusions. 2.5 in (6.4 cm) length.
