A Chinese jade rodent. 19th century or later. Carved in the form of a rodent with its legs tucked underneath its body in a crouching position with a long tail wrapped around a hind leg and with incised features and a vertically drilled central hole to be utilised as a toggle, the stone of a pale celadon tone with some russet inclusions. 2.1 in (5.3 cm) length.
