A Chinese jade mandarin duck carving. Possibly Yuan/Ming Dynasty (1279 - 1644). Decorated with incised details to the head, wings, tail and feet beneath, the stone of a mottled green and dark grey tone. Similar carvings have been found from the Yuan period with pierced holes often considered to be head dress ornaments. 2.3 in (5.9 cm) length.
