A Chinese jade carving of deer. Possibly Shang dynasty period or later. Carved in a recumbent position with outstretched front feet and decorated with incised features and narrow ridged patterns to the body, the antlers pierced with a small hole to be utilised as a pendant, the stone of a pale celadon and russet tone. 2.2 in (5.7 cm) length.
