A Chinese jade bi disc. 19th century. Carved on both sides in shallow relief with a field of comma spirals arranged in rows on a flat ground and enclosed within incised rings and a plain raised border to both the inner and outer edge, the stone of an even translucent celadon tone. 3.8 in (9.6 cm) diameter. Provenance: Formerly in the Alexander Taylor collection.
